Christine Kugler was born in 1982. As a child, she was already drawing pictures to illustrate her favourite stories. In fourth form, her teacher gave her her very first commission, which was rewarded with a watercolour pad. From that moment on, she knew what she wanted to do for a living. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nürnberg and is working as a freelance children’s book illustrator.
