Schipps – A Home for Christmas

A moving Christmas story about solidarity, friendship, and finding a place that feels like home.
Just in time for Christmas, all the dogs from the shelter have found a new home – all except for poor little Schipps. When he’s accidentally locked out, he finds himself all alone in the cold and no matter where he turns to, there’s no place for him. Braving the icy snowstorm, he suddenly stumbles upon a comfy stable and receives a warm welcome from the other animals. But whether he gets to stay is up to Grandma Gerti, the farm’s owner. Soon, Schipps gets a chance to prove himself when they discover the disappearance of the sheep Cloudlet. Bravely, Schipps sets out to find her – and the Christmas miracle he’s been hoping for …

Creative People

Author

Ulrike Fischer was born in 1962 on a Westphalian farm in Germany, where she grew up within an extended family. Ever since she was given her first fountain pen, stories have simply kept flowing out of it. She has published various children´s books and lives in a hillside village in Münster together with her husband, child and dog.


Illustrator

Barbara Korthues studied illustration and visual communication at the University of Applied Science as well as free painting at the University of Fine Arts in Münster. She has been working for numerous publishing houses in Germany and abroad ever since.
