The winter holidays are just around the corner, but Fenja isn’t too excited about the festivities or the free time. The only thing she can think about is Silfra: if she is still here, then Baldur has to be somewhere out there as well! But nobody seems to know anything about her whereabouts, and Gróa remains a mystery too. Events are moving fast when Fenja discovers a well-kept family secret. As the last remaining destiny horse Gróa has to start a dangerous journey – a journey that revives an old feud between hidden people.
In the Land of Fire and Ice, Fenja’s summer is off to a rocky start: Her sister and best friend are off on their own adventures, their farm is run over by tourists, and her stern dad just sold her favourite horse. Then, a group of the mysterious Hidden People appears in the region and suddenly strange things are happening and old legends come true. But why did the Midnight Rider try to steal their horse Baldur? To protect him, Fenja has to figure out what’s going on, even if she has to go against her father’s explicit instructions. Can the Huldufólk girl Elva help her with that? Soon, Fenja finds herself wrapped up in a momentous quest spanning millennia …

However, that turns out to be difficult with an erupting volcano and mysterious voices and shadows that shouldn’t be there. Keeping Baldur and Silfra’s secret becomes harder and harder as everyone seems to be after them – endangering not only the horses but also the girls’ lives.
Who is THAT? Choco cannot believe his eyes. There is a new pony on the Thunder beam farm, or more specifically, a pretty nice pony girl… Her name is Elfa and she comes from quite far away. It’s weird, but suddenly Choco doesn’t feel well at all. He is a little unsteady on his hooves and his pony tummy makes strange sounds – he won't be sick, will he?
