Susanne Weber, born in 1977 in Oldenburg, went to Berlin to study German and Romance philology. Afterwards, she worked as a children’s book editor until she began to translate and to write her own children’s books. She has two sons.

Meike Töpperwien studied design at the College of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. Since graduating she has been working as an illustrator and graphic designer for several publishers, magazines and cultural institutions. She lives in Braunschweig, learns to play the accordion and enjoys bicycling through the city with her family.
