Born in Coimbra, Portugal, and raised in Switzerland, Katja Alves belongs to the most renowned Swiss children’s books authors. She worked as a bookseller, game developer, broadcasting editor, columnist, and editor. Today, she mostly writes audio dramas and children’s books. Katja Alves lives and works in Zürich.
When she was a little girl, Mila Marquis created fantastical dreamscapes with pen and paintbrush. Since studying fashion design at HAW Hamburg, she has been committing her funny, beautiful, or dreamy ideas to paper. Her postcards, books, and calendars have found many fans. She lives happily with her son, a white tousled monster, and a Maine Coon cat gang in Hamburg.
