Myths and Epics of Ancient Greece

Schwab’s original material delicately revised and complemented by occasional annotations.
The Myths and Epics of Ancient Greece by Gustav Schwab (1792 – 1850) have been classics for decades. Even today we encounter figures and motifs from the Trojan myths in plays and operas, in museums on antique vases and modern paintings, in comics, film, and TV. Therefore, it still comes in handy knowing the most important epic cycle of ancient times – the stories of Troy, the Odyssee, and its heroes.
