Astrid Göpfrich
Astrid Göpfrich lives as a freelance author near Freiburg and publishes novels for children and adults. Previously, she staged cultural projects and audio productions. For her books, she draws inspiration from her own childhood: She found the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster very scary and grew up in a family in which everyone has a green thumb – everyone except for her. Therefore, she’s glad that her protagonist Nelly has only "created"an alpaca – even if it’s quite headstrong – and that she learned a lot about gardening by writing about wonder vegetables.
